sunday makeup post

well i know i havent written in along time but sorry...

but i went to berlin for a week that was amaizng we partied alot. but we also learned about the ddr and berlin after the war.
i met a new friend irma and she is hella cool!! =]

well yea me and lukas are doing great and we finally decided that we are going to try to keep it going.
we are going to both process with school he only has one year left and when he is done and we are still together
than he wants to move to cali and try and get into a college too.
and in the mean while in the summer hes going to come out and vist.

welll i have been sick this whole week and that really sucked
way too much thinking time.
but i just grown to realize how much i miss my mom and everything about home.
but at the sametime how home seems so distance like a dream or soemthing because i havent been there in so long.
well its only 4 months more til i go home and im stoked for the last four months here and to see home again.

i cant wait next month to see if i get in to sac state and than start lookin for a house up there and start looking for a new doggie.
and here is germany i am doing so much next month in march and in june i will be in berlin for my birthday with all the other ppls and on my birthday we will be at the german parliament with all the other 250 kids who got this scholorship that are in high school or studying a carreer so that should be a good once in a life time birthday! =]

well today me and my sister are going to a superbowl party put on my our cheer association so we get to stand at the door and greet people as they walk in and than eat some "american food" well see what they consider american food. haha =]

a long week

Okay so i havent wrote on this thing in a week because i really didnt have time.

i started my new job working in the horse barn really close to my house. this is so fun but a real lot of work. i start work at like 7am so i have to wake up at like 6/6:15 ish. (which is crapy because i hate getting up early) but than i go there and we clean all the stalls from the like 30 horses we have. there we have 3 barns, 3 stalls, 2 halls and 3 outdoor halls. we have so much there to do every horse with the exception to the young, old, and sick horses must be ridden everyday. there are 7 people who work there not including the 2 owners who just ride the horses when they are there all of the other of groom the horses, make sure the they fed and watered, and make the ready and unready to ride. It sounds like a lot of work but i promise you that it is really fun. we get to go home at around 7pm everynight sometimes later sometimes earlier it depends on what the horses must do that day. sometimes they are jumping (without people or without) some times they are just riding, and for young horses sometimes they are just lunge the horses (means: the horse walks,trotts, or gallops on a long rope in a circle)... But the funiest part for me this week was really learning all i could about the horses. how someone grooms the horse or lunges it or rides it. it was really fun just to learn how horses react to certain things like some horses dont like the sounds of a broom or some dont like to see a tractor. horses are really big animals who have a huge potential to hurt someone but they are really loving just like a dog but much much bigger and you can do other thing with them than just throwing a bone. but let me tell you they are sooooo much work to take care of. by the end of the day i can not stand anymore because i stood on my feet the whole day.... but its really good if your like an insomniac and cant sleep you should work with horses because you sleep like a baby!!

well yea i only got to see lukas like 2 this week which makes me really sad because i totaly miss him but i guess its good because he gets alot of time with his freinds but shitty for me but oh well thats life...

and we are training sooo hard for cheer on the 30th we have our regional championship which if we do go at we could go to the one with all of germany! which would be really cool so we are training really hard 4 hours in the week and 12 hours on the weekend. =]

on a side note i would like to say that my english is getting really terrible which lukas tells me is a good thing but i really hate that when i think to myself its not in german haha and i cant construct sentences anymore in english because they are with german grammar so if this sounds a little wierd its only because im learning one of the hardest languages on the planet! =] yay for being BILINGUAL!! =]

Last day of break

well since today was the last day of break i did absoultly nothing all day long... i sent the whole day with the love of my life and we watched movies and slept and cooked together (which i love btw) and yea a whole lot of nothing. and thats the best part about us is we dont have to be doing something entertaining to have fun we love to lounge out and be lazy together its the best... well tomorrow is my second to last day of school =] which i am stoked for. i will start my internship at the horse stalls on monday and this weekend should be exciting because we are going out on friday we lukas friends and than BEN from my program is coming up and we are going to party on sat. so should be a good weekend and maybe sledding with the fam on sun! =] sounds like a good weekend to me... well yea stoked for berlin to see my kell bell miss that girl but not stoked for the bed time. it kinda makes me feel 5. but its okay its only for a week and than i get to see anne (my best friend in germany. she was on the cheer team and than she went away to college about 5 hr drive from here) because she is coming to our competition. =] this is really starting to look like an exciting month! =]

Today was a good chill day.. i woke up at like 11:30 (im still on vacation from school) and watch a few episodes of weeds with my amazing boyfriend. there is just something about that boy that i could just lay in his arms the whole day and be the happiest girl alive... well enough of that mushy stuff. than we eat breakfast together and than watched more weeds (WE LOVE THAT SHOW YOU REALLY SHOULD WATCH IT IT"S GREAT) and than he had to leave to do something for school and i got ready and my and my g-mama went into the city and i bought my train tickets to the berlin seminar which is going to be amazing and the tickets were really cheap only 68 euros that comes back to me (cause my program pays for it)!! SCORE!!! well yea and than we went by the police department in pinneberg and they were so lame about letting me have a internship there. they were like well maybe you can but you have to call this lady and we dont know if there are places open or what you could even do here and yea but call her and she knows and idk i just got bummed out.. but the other day i though of this ingeniuss idea to work at a horse barn because i love horses and i could possible one day want to be a police woman on a horse and thats some hard labor to burn off all that german beer! =] good idea right and so we went to the barn thats like 10 mins away from the house on foot that i never even knew was there and asked and the lady was soo excitied that it made me soo excitied and if my prgram director says its okay than i start on monday that means only 2 days of school left!! =] how freakin exciting is that!! i have been now to about 6 months of school after i have just graduated and im so excitied now to praticate in some maual labour haha=] well were eating bratwurst tonight WITH SAURKRAUT!! =] sooo stoked it will be my frist time in germany eating it and it like my fav bbq at home lol... well im off to watch some tv or soemthing just being a veggie while i can. ooh i forgot to say for this new job i have to be there are 7 that mean up at 6 everymorning for me!! BUMMER!! but i get to ride horses!! =]

Lisa last day

Today is lisa my older sister last day home before she goes back to college in hildesheim. =[ i am totaly bummed because i totaly love having her around. but we spent the day together as a family we went out to the ELBE river which is the one that brings the huge ships into the hamburg harbor! =] it was really cool we sat at a restaurant on the river (like it bobbed up and down with the river) and watched the ships go by, eat cake, drank coffee, and just talked! =] im glad we got to do something together it was really nice! =]


ohhh and last night we (me and lisa) remodeled my room and its soo cool totaly love it!! =] because we went to ikea and got some stuff for our rooms and i got some stuff and now my room looks totaly different!! =]

SONG OF ThE DAY: For Good.... Wicked!

New years eve was great. I got the best of both worlds i got to spend the day with my family and eat dinner with them. we had kinda like a fondue thing but you have like a grill thing on the table and you cook your own food! it was really yummy and chocolate fondue (which i didnt really get to eat because lukas came to get me)!! than we went to his house and i got to see his family for a little bit than we (me lukas and lena) rode bikes to the party. At first i wasn't really feeling good and it was really boring because i didnt really know the people there i had seen them at parties before but did really know them. so we started playing a drinking game to bring everyone together and it was sooo much fun. we played this game were all the cards mean something alittle bit like kings cup but instead of playing trying to get the quarter in the cup it some waterfall thing were you keep drinking until the person next to you stops... Than when it was the new year i got my first new years kiss! =] than we went outside and it was the craziest thing i have ever experienced it was like disneyland fireworks on crack all over the sky for like 2 hours!! it was just so wierd because in cali you are not aloud to have fireworks or at least any cool ones and here it is totally legal you can buy them in the grou store. so there were just a ridiclous amount! IT was really a great night! =] yesterday me and lukas just stayed in our pjs all days and watched tv and than from about 6 to 12 we played games with lukas mom and step dad! it was really a great time (even know i suck and lose everytime)!! oh well it was still alot of fun...

well got to get ready were going to ikea today. lisa is going back to college tomorrow and im kinda bummed i really like having her around. well i guess its good shes coming to live with me for a while when i get home.. =]

really miss the fam bam expeically my mommy! if you see her before i do give her a hug for me i think she could use it! =]

New years eve.

Def got this grand plan to make a blog way too late i wish i would have been doing thing the whole time so i could look back on it later and so my fam and friends would have a better idea of what was going here in my full craziness. but i guess better late than never. so im not really sure how blogging works i have never really done it but im just going to kinda tell you what going on what i have done and how im feeling and than i guess if you want to know more than well go from there. ps. sorry for the bad spelling/grammar, my german phrase, or just in general my craziness.... well LOVE YOU WHO EVER YOU ARE.... happy reading....=]

Backround info...

I am Brianna Lamee.. duh you def know that... i am 18 and i currently live in germany... this whole experience started with a wonderful councilor of mine who suggested that i apply for this crazy scholarship where the german and american government pay for you to live in german for a year to get life and work experience and learn another language along the way.. so i apply and i got to be a semi-finalist. than i went to an interview and 2 months later they were calling me to tell me that i was in that i had gotten the scholarship.. well you could only imagine my excitiment but to my discriedte i couldn't even imagine what was coming my way. so after a million good byes and alot of tears i flew away from the only place i had ever called home on june 29th, 2009.. I had never felt so many emotions that the same time i was scared, excitied, lost, and hopeful that i didnt just make the worst mistake of my life. There were 24 kids on the program (and i saw were because 2 girls went home) and we all met up in dc. it was the first time i had ever been there and i saw enough momuments to make you never wanna see one again. after 4 days of sight seeing and "ass-kissing" to the congress people for giving us the money to come we flew our 9 flight to Frankfurt and drove 2 more hours to get to bonn.. WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES THERE... 24 american 18 year olds who were never aloud to drink let along in public... lets just leave it at "we had good educational fun"!! we def expierenced the sight seeing there was to do there thanks to the AIB (our lanagaue school) and our program director (Hartwig)! we got to see the colgone dome (Köln Dom), the Rhien River, and even some Roman Ruins! We spent 8 weeks together in bonn with our fearless leader Cole (a student of the program 2 years back who came back to help us through our time in bonn) we had host families there who everyone seem to get alone with pretty well. i had a family of a mom and daughter who were really chill just like my family back home so it was a nice transition into my life here in germany! Everything there was great but the shower fucking sucked it was like someone was dumping bucks of water onto your head and you never knew if the next one was going to be hott or cold. it was pretty bad. but my family went to grand canala for vacation for like 3 weeks or something and they left we home with the coolest lady i have ever met she was soo sweet this african lady names MARY. she was soo sweet and she could cook. it was always so intresting to hear here tell stories and eat the food that see could cook oh man that was fun.. well than soon after we had our 8 weeks to get settled in to germany we got a nice little reality check when we moved to our perement host family. I cant speak for everyone but i sure can say that i really felt the difference between living in germany with 23 other americans surrounding you to living in germany starting all over with no friends and not too much knowledge of the german lanagaue! well lets just keep it short about my first host family THEY SUCKED!!! THere was a mom and her two sons. The mom smoked in the house and never left the house other than for work because her kids didnt like it when she wasnt there. they boys were always in there rooms and we never did anything together. it was miserable but the nice part about the family was they forced me to find something to do with my time and in the mean while i found the most amazing cheer team. i really feel like they are part of my family now. They were all so nice and accepting of me and they are a major part in why my german is how far it is today. Lucky i was able to find a new host family and i absloutly love it here. I live with a family of 4. A mom (kathrine), a son who doesnt live with us (24, floriene), daughter who goes to college and doesnt live with us either (21, lisa), a another daughter (19, linda) and another son (17, Tom). They are really a great. They love me just like i was apart of there family all along. Our fav time to spend together is grocrey shopping... =] I go to school with linda in the IGS THESDORF SCHULE!! and there i met my wonderful boyfriend. LUKAS SCHMIDT!!! he is really great unlike any boy i have ever met. im not sure what it is about him but he really gets me and i love that about him.. well i think thats all for backround info for now..... =]

So today it is New Years Eve(Silvester)!! I am really excitied because i have managed to work it out so that i can spend time with my family and time with my boo. i am going to eat dinner and play cards and things with my family and then later on celebrate with my boo.. well yea ill let you know how it goes. stay post.
